This 2020 graduate of Brookville High School is completing her freshman year at Wilmington College, majoring in Education with an emphasis on Special Education.  She has helped care for her younger brother who has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Alyssa hopes to have a second major in theater and has been involved in two campus productions. She had the role of Ophelia in a workshop-style production of women in Shakespeare’s plays.

In 2019, her town was hit by a tornado that damaged part of the high school.  Alyssa volunteered in the clean-up efforts.  During her time at Wilmington College, she has worked at the circulation desk of the library.

After graduating from Sydney High School, Lydia is attending the University of Alabama.  Her major is Nursing with an emphasis on labor and delivery.  She hopes to be a traveling nurse for the first few years after graduation.  Ultimately, she’ll continue her education to become a Nurse Practitioner.

Lydia enjoys volunteer work including fundraising events for such causes as childhood cancer and arthritis.  She also has a job on campus.
